What Might Teens Use?

Jan 8, 2014

Youth Drug Use

While marijuana is commonly abused among high school students, over-the-counter medications are the next most abused. Over-the-counter medications can also be more difficult to know if your teen is using them. With marijuana, there's a distinct odor and distinct signs. Over-the-counter medications may be harder to detect and won't have the associated odor. The solution will be to have an excellent and open dialogue with your teenager. Talk openly about your medications and what medications, such as Vicodin, are for and that people who take them need them and do not use them for a high.
